Planning and Highways Committee
The Planning and Highways Committee consists of six councillors who meet every 3 to 4 weeks to consider planning applications within the parish boundary of Kingswood. They are a statutory consultee and not the planning authority. The Committee responds to planning applications, but do not make decisions in relation to planning applications. In addition the committee considers a range of matters that are linked to the highway or the local environment, like street naming, the positioning of litter and dog bins, planters and other public realm. Occasionally the committee will refer large or contentious planning applications to full council for consideration.
