This Sunday is Remembrance Day. The wonderful Yarn & Yardage YaY yarn bombers have created a beautiful display on the postboxes on Regent street to commemorate the occasion and to honour the people and animals who lost their lives in war.
Neville & Liz from Kingswood and Hanham Royal British Legion are inside Kings Chase Shopping Centre this week, selling poppies and collecting donations for the Poppy Appeal. Please visit them if you are passing.
On Sunday, the Kingswood Remembrance Parade will set off from Cecil road carpark at 13:30 and process up the high street to Holy Trinity Church for the Acts of Remembrance and wreath laying. The public are welcome to come and observe the parade and service. Tea and coffee will be served in the church following this. Please note that rolling road closures and diversions will be in place whilst the parade takes place but roads will be re-opened swiftly, once the parade has passed. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation.
