We had a wonderful afternoon visiting Our Lady of Lourdes RC Primary School today. The school were successful in receiving a community grant from the council and the funds have been used for dressing up outfits, outside music instruments and a stage area for the children to perform on. Pupils Niamh and Beau told us “The new play equipment is really creative and it means we can choose to do different things on break like make performances, it’s really popular!” and “It’s great for role playing and to have a safe area for play away from the sports area, some of the younger children make little bands and do music shows on the stage”. On Tuesday evening, our finance & administration committee awarded more grants following the recent application process. More details on those soon! The next closing date for applications to the Community Grant Scheme is the 10th February.
