We’re organising a special event for the older residents in Kingswood to come together and celebrate the 80th anniversary of VE Day. The event will take place in Kingswood on the 8th May from 14:00-16:00 and will include a delicious afternoon tea and musical entertainment from a vintage harmony trio, The Hummingbirds.
We’re working with local care homes and organisations to put together a guest list but we’re also aware that this route could miss people who would love to be there. We can arrange transport to and from the event and carers/support workers would be welcome to come along and will be well fed!
We have 10 spaces to invite individuals who may not be reached via our existing network. Our Community Engagement & Events Officer can deliver them an invite so that they can RSVP and we can arrange everything they need to have a really special afternoon. There is no charge for attendance.
